Who We Are:
Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) is the state agency that empowers Ohioans with disabilities through employment, disability determinations, and independence. It is accomplished through its Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation (BVR), Bureau of Services for the Visually Impaired (BSVI) and Division of Disability Determination (DDD). A fourth area is the Division of Employer and Innovation Services (EIS), which is responsible for establishing and maintaining partnerships with employers.

Division Overview:
Vocational Rehabilitation (VR)
OOD operates Ohio’s Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) program. Through the Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation and Bureau of Services for the Visually Impaired, the VR program provides services to eligible individuals with disabilities to assist them in getting and keeping a job. Disabilities may include physical, intellectual, mental health, or sensory disabilities. OOD works with adults seeking to enter the workforce or retain a job, and with youth beginning at age 14, to assist them as they transition from high school into college and/or the workplace. What is a Caseload Assistant?
Duties vary depending on the need for the assigned area. We have general Caseload Assistant positions, as well as specialty Caseload Assistant positions that can include:
• General CA – position that supports the front door process of our local offices among other supportive duties as assigned.
• Job Development (JD) – position focuses on assisting consumers with job seeking skills training and interviewing skills and assists them with securing and maintaining employment.
• Talent Sourcing Coordinators (TSC) – position focuses on assisting our internal to increase job placements within companies who are a part of the Business Leadership Network.
• Career Resources – Position focuses on meeting with individuals in subminimum wage employment to promote opportunities for competitive integrated employment and share information about supported employment services and career options.
• Personal Care Assistance (PCA) Program – Position focuses on supporting the PCA program. This program provides reimbursem*nt funds to individuals with severe physical disabilities who are employed or preparing for employment and require a personal care assistant to complete Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Works4Me CA – Meets with individuals in subminimum wage employment and their support team members to promote opportunities for competitive integrated employment and shares information about supported employment services and career options. Collaborates with provider organizations to help people in subminimum wage employment explore competitive integrated employment. Works on-site at organizations that partner with OOD on Works4Me. Supports the application process for people to participate in OOD services. This may include attending support team meetings, drafting reports, and other supportive duties as assigned.

Qualifications
24 months experience in the delivery of vocational rehabilitation services (for example: job development, certified vocational evaluator, vocational specialist).
OR, undergraduate degree in vocational rehabilitation counseling, counseling, social work, psychology, disability studies, special education, business administration, human resources, economics or related rehabilitation or human services area.
OR, equivalent of education and/or experience per Minimum Class Qualifications noted above.

Selection Process
The selection process consists of an online assessment and a remote structured interview. All parts of the assessment will be administered remotely at this time. Testing for this position is tentatively scheduled for the week of July 8. Interviews are tentatively scheduled to be held the week of July 15. All communications are sent via email. The final candidate selected for the position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. Criminal convictions do not necessarily preclude an applicant from consideration for a position.
