Your better off, going to another school. If you go here you will be taken advantage of and seen as just a number. They will attempt to scam you in a multitude of ways including PARKING, vending, any on school activity, and countless of other things. Most of the employees here are air heads and don't put any effort into their classes. All of these lectures are just self taught lessons and I could've completed this curriculum in high school. This campus layout needs to be ENTIRELY redone. Whoever runs the architecture school, needs to be reconsidered because half of the stuff here doesn't work. I have had a very miserable living experience too. Including being kicked out of UA because of Mold and water coming up from the floor. Also I had roomates that were people of suspicion and nobody took action to my complaints. Lastly, in my last living situation I had water leaking from under my sink and lights that constantly flicker. This place is a hot mess! If you are committed here good luck

I love my school. Sometimes you have to get lucky with the professors, most of the time it depends on the department and who runs it. The biology department is absolutely wonderful and the professor who runs it is amazing. It's a tough subject but the teachers do such a great job that you learn to love it. Chemistry on the other hand is run by a tyrant who shows no mercy or grace. She rules the department with an iron fist and if you dare stand in her way prepare to be trampled. Other than that FIU is great! It's mostly commuter students (we make up 98% of the student body) so most people go to class and get out to go home or to work ASAP. If you want to go to a party school this is not the place, but if you want to come here to learn and be intellectually challenged then you've come to the right place.
