I love a ramble but this one’s personal. It's not the time in your life, it's the life in your time. Anyone who knew me as a kid starting out will know my break into self employment was inspired my dad, hardest working bloke I’ve ever met. But my break into self employment at 18 years old was enabled by my ‘big bad uncle’ Kevin Walker. We lost Kev 19 years ago today. Kevin was BIG, he was loud, he was the best story teller, entertainer and travel companion. He lit the room up and if you met him you simply couldn’t forget him. Kev ran his business like his life at 100mph + ( several driving bans in his 600 AMG to prove it ). He loved to travel, Marlin World Cup with Matchroom every year, great squash player ‘cack handed’ golfer and still holds the record on a yard of ale in Bristol. Despite living in west London Kev was very much a scouser, brilliantly witty with terrible taste in music.Kev was great dad to his 3 kids, massive holidays to Vegas HUGE houses, lovely things. But the one thing that always strikes me about Kev was despite him only getting 47 years he lived his life to the fullest.I look back now as a 40 something dad and realise just how important that is. Thank you uncle Kev. Few pics from our pal Brian McClusky & Martin Agabeg Kevin - pretty obvious who Big Kev is. ❤️
